Exploring Around Las Vegas, NV
Last October I went with Jan while she attended a nursing conference. I got up early each day that she was busy and went exploring. You can easily see how low the water is behind Hoover Dam. I also found a nice running trail for her; some of those photos are included. Some of the earlier pictures are from the train museum in Boulder City which was free. I was the only one there. The pictures of all the other old stuff is from the very cool Clark County Museum; if you like time travel travel then this is the park for you! The old Halloween decorations really brought me back to my childhood but the mannequins were creepy and not just because it was near Halloween.
Biking to Wallace, Idaho
This is from last summer (August 26, 2014) when Jim and I biked on the Trail of the Couer d'Alene's to Wallace. The brewery there was closed because it was Sunday but we had a pizza and a pop and turned around. When passing though this swampy flat area filled with old stumps Jim stopped these two moose right next to the trail. I probably wouldn't have even noticed as they kind of blended in with the stumps!
